Prince Andrew, son of Queen Elizabeth of England arrived in Tripoli Sunday night on an unofficial visit to Libya.
He was welcomed at Ma’atiqa airport by the head of the Libyan protocol and the British ambassador and British embassy staff in Tripoli.
The Duke of York who checked in at Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel is in the country in his capacity as tourist to take a first look to the archeological treasures that are amble in Libya.
Prince Andrew is to stay in Libya until the 11th of November.
During this period, Prince Andrew will be visiting a number of historical sites and he may even travel south to see some of Libya’s beautiful Sahara desert wonders such as the Accacus Mountains about 1000 kms south of the capital Tripoli.
